Former Indian bowler Anil Kumble, who is the third-highest wicket taker of all time, won many hearts with a humble gesture.

A fan of Kumble's tweeted, saying she was on the same flight as the former India captain but wasn't able to work up the courage to talk to him.

"Glanced at him once and was reminded of that game in West Indies. where he bowled with a bandaged jaw. Teared up a bit. Gawwddd, I' am such a sucker for cricket memories," Sohini tweeted.

To her amazement, Anil Kumble read her tweet on the flight and replied.

"Please feel free to come over and say hi after take off," tweeted Kumble.

Anil Kumble's reply made Sohini's day and she later put up a tweet with showed that she had managed to get his autograph on her boarding pass.

The Padma Shri awardee proved that he has got a heart of gold and loves his fans.

Kumble retired from international cricket in November 2008 and in October 2012, he was appointed the chairman of Indian Cricket Council (ICC). In his very successful international career, Kumble took 619 Test wickets.
