Varsha Gautham and Sweta Shervegar clinched silver in the 49er FX women's event, while Harshita Tomar claimed bronze in the Open Laser 4.7. Varun Thakkar Ashok and Chengappa Ganapathy Kelapanda then added another bronze in the 49er men's event .
There was disappointment for India in boxing as Vikas Krishan (75kg) had to settle for a bronze medal after he was declared medically unfit to fight his semifinal bout due to a cut on his left eyelid sustained earlier in the event.
India get bronze after losing 0-2 to Hong Kong in men's squash team semi-final. Both seasoned campaigners Saurav Ghosal and Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu lost their respective matches for India.
