[ad_1]

NEW DELHI: Supreme Court bench of Justices Arun Mishra and U U Lalit on Tuesday decided to send three Amrapali Group directors- Anil Kumar Sharma, Shov Priya and Ajay Kumar - in police custody, for not handing over all documents relating to its accounts to forensic auditors.

The SC said the directors have been playing hide and seek with the court which had on September 26 asked them to handover all documents within 24 hours.

"On one hand they have not finalised their books of account since 2015 and over and above that, there are allegations of siphoning of money deposited with the group by home buyers," the SC observed.

The three directors will remain in police custody till each and every document relating to accounts of all 46 group companies are handed over to forensic auditors appointed by SC.

"It may take a day to a month, we don't care. They will remain with police till all documents are handed over," SC said.
