The Indian men's hockey team signed off with a bronze medal in the 2018 Asian Games, after beating Pakistan 2-1 in Jakarta, Indonesia on Saturday. Akashdeep Singh scored in the third minute and gave India a 1-0 lead in the first quarter itself. Riding on their early lead, India did not let Pakistan score in the second quarter although they were trying to exert a lot of pressure. After a goalless third quarter, Harmanpreet Singh scored in the 50th minute to double the lead for the 2014 edition champions India. Pakistan scored through Muhammad Atiq in the 52nd minute but ran out of time as India won the match 2-1.
