Alicia Silverstone and husband Christopher Jarecki are to divorce after announcing their separation earlier this year.
Papers filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court on Friday cite irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
Clueless star Silverstone and presenter and musician Jarecki married in June 2005 after eight years as a couple.
They have a seven-year-old son, Bear Blue, and will share custody.
In a statement announcing their separation earlier this year, 41-year-old Silverstone and 47-year-old Jarecki said they "still deeply love and respect each other and remain very close friends".
Jarecki was formerly the lead singer of the band S.T.U.N. and now hosts his own radio show, A Musical Journey with Christopher Jarecki.
Silverstone can next be seen in the upcoming sitcom American Woman. Last year she starred opposite Irish actors Colin Farrell and Barry Keoghan in The Killing of a Sacred Deer.
