NEW DELHI: India won two bronze medals at the 2018 International Aerobic Championship in Arizona, USA, which concluded on Thursday.
The event is conducted by the Association of National Aerobic Championships (ANAC), which is the officiating and sanctioning body of the International Aerobic Championship and International Youth Aerobic Championship.
Selected winners and/or top-ranked athletes from ANAC national member affiliates and ANAC associates participate in the International Aerobic Championship.
It is conducted in the individual, mixed pairs, trios, group and AeroDance categories, in which the participants perform a 1-minute-45-seconds choreographed routine.
Officially known as sportaerobics or Aerobic Gymnastics, the discipline is recognized by the International Olympic Committee but is not an Olympic sport.
Anikate Chakraborty finished third with a tally of 18.450 in Age Group 2 of the men's individual category, while Esha, Yurika and Divyashree also claimed a bronze medal in the women's trio event.
